Alan Anacki – Owner and Founder

Alan’s automotive career began in his teenage years working along side his father at Tony’s Gulf Service Station.  While not particularly impressed with the domestic vehicles of the times, Alan went on to study Aeronautical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).  But still, the car bug (in the form of a 1962 Mercedes Benz 220B) bit him while obtaining his education.

His professional automotive career began in 1975 at Foreign Motors, a leading Mercedes dealership in Boston.   While employed, he attended several Mercedes training sessions up and down the East Coast.  Since then, he has remained current with the industry employing training from Robert Bosch, Mercedes Benz, LMVIND Mercedes, LMVND Volvo, LMVND BMW, World Pac, ATI and Management Success.  Alan is a Master/L1 (emissions) ASE Certified Technician as well as a Massachusetts Registered Repair Technician for emissions.   Alan also holds ASE certifications as an engine machinist, service consultant, and an automobile parts specialist.

Alan’s many individual accomplishments include driving his BMW race car to a track championship in New Hampshire.  Ultimately, Alan is the driving force behind Bridgewater Motor Works.  His passion for excellence is evident throughout the company and is one of the principal reasons for its long standing success.  He takes pride in the fact that if the dealer can’t do it, Bridgewater Motor Works will, and probably for a lot less!

Alan still resides in Bridgewater with Robin, his long time spouse.  He also answers to the name Grandpa to six children. Yes, he has been called a workaholic but he still finds the time to spend with his grandchildren.  His two sons, Bob and Doug, both work full time at Bridgewater Motor Works.  Cherie, on occasion, helps with the cleanup, and Sabra helps out at the service desk when called upon.

Alan still enjoys going to the races and watching them on the weekends at home.
